Mrs. Benton’s Classroom Discipline Plan
Our Classroom Rules
o Be Responsible
o Be Respectful
o Be Safe
o Be a Problem Solver
We use Conscious Discipline in our classroom. Conscious Discipline teaches children the skills needed to feel safe and comfortable in their environment. It helps them to discuss conflicts with others and minimize unwanted behavior. Conscious Discipline gives students tools to stay calm while working through the problem or situation that arises.
When an unwanted behavior becomes a disruption to the learning environment students will use a behavior log to track certain behaviors. The letters that are placed in the book are...
F- I need to follow directions given by the teacher.
C- I need to complete my homework on time and turn it in on time.
L- I need to listen when others are speaking.
T- I need to work on talking at appropriate times.
R- I need to work on treating others with respect.
If a pattern of behavior starts to develop, I will contact you so we can discuss the behavior.
Positive behavior is rewarded with praise, PAWS tickets, high fives, extra computer time, or a Caught Being Good ticket.
